Here is Cary's entry:
Growing up I was fortunate to be part of a family of old time woodsman. My Father and all his brothers worked in the woods during the 1940's and 50's. They all enjoyed hunting and snowshoeing in New Brunswick's forests. A major part of any woods trip with any of them was "boiling the kettle" or in laymans terms stopping for lunch. Tea was always part of lunch and it was always King Cole. My Father never drank anything but loose King Cole which he carried in a baking powder tin. The water was boiled in a quart juice can with a homemade wire bail. The fire was started as soon as we stopped and the tin can hung on a stick over the fire. It was always cold and we would thaw our sandwiches on forked sticks over the fire. Once the water was boiling the can was removed and then I got to add the King Cole, a teaspoon for each drinker and one for the kettle. The tea warmed us and we dunked big homemade donuts that froze solid in our pockets. We never added wood to the fire after the water boiled so it was almost out once our meal was over. These memories are decades old but everytime I enjoy King Cole in our beautiful woodlands I remember boiling the kettle. Thank you King Cole for a fine product.
